Costumes

As of yesterday, I officially have worn every merchandise costume in the Magic Kingdom. I didn’t intend on completing this little challenge until I realized I only had two more left to complete the set. So, in order of my favorites to least favorite, here are a series of low quality selfies that document my costuming journey!

FANTASYLAND

This dress is the closest thing I’ll ever get to wearing a princess dress and I am HERE. FOR. IT.  There is nothing more fun than twirling in this beautiful dress with all the other little princesses underneath the castle.

MOMENTO MORI

This spooky costume is from the Haunted Mansion’s gift shop, Momento Mori. This is Madame Leota’s shop before her death and it is packed with potions and hitch hiking ghosts. It’s small and so themed and so fun.

BONJOUR

Just like Fantasyland but a new color scheme.  Twirling is still just as fun in a brown skirt.

LIBERTY SQUARE

I’d move to the 1700s just to wear this costume everyday. It’s for the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. Even though I had a disaster experience in costuming trying to find my size the first time I wore it, it’s one of the comfiest costumes in MK. Much love.

NOT SO SCARY

This is without a doubt the cutest costume in the entire world.

CONFECTIONARY

So basically, the confectionary is Big Top but with my pastel aesthetic. I love the pale yellow dress and I won’t apologize to every cirkie who calls me a traitor.

ADVENTURELAND

The Aggrabah pajamas mean a lot to me. The pirates costume is fine.

FRONTIERLAND

I love this blue Frontierland dress. It’s soft and smooth and simple and great and makes life on the prairie a more manageable.

MAIN STREET

Classic.  A little boring, but always classic.

STOCK

Looking like a mechanic is never a good option. But maybe the rain jacket really adds something special, don’t ya think?

TOMORROWLAND

Poor Tland is just so boring.  It could be so fun and cool and yet it’s just gray and sad. Without a doubt my least favorite in the tragic kingdom.

CIRCUS

My home.  My stripes. I love the stripes with all of my heart.  Are they my favorite? No.  Do I wish I had a skirt instead of pants? Every single day. Will I love it forever?  Absolutely.

And that is every single Magic Kingdom costume – the tragic and the magic ones. Challenge complete!
